Juliana oversees the integration of the company's leadership team and manages a number of brand development projects that tie its various market segments together. She works directly with Matthew Kenney on all of his major initiatives, especially major events and public projects.
Originally from Brazil, she spent much of her formative years outdoors exploring both coasts of the US. From the beaches of Southern California to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia, she was raised on both nature and real food.
She has dedicated her life to enriching the lives of others. Earning a BS in Psychology from Virginia Tech, she spent much of her time working in higher education. For many years, she worked hard to shape and inspire her students to be their best and live more balanced lives. With the same passion in mind, she has now shifted toward helping change the world through food by being part of the Matthew Kenney team, and is a proud graduate of Matthew Kenney Culinary.
She is an avid traveler, believing there is too much of the world yet to be discovered. She hopes to take all the magnificence she’s encountered in the world – from the splendor of the elephants in Nepal to the charm of small markets in Vietnam – and bring it all toward crafting the future of food. She believes that there is poetry that lives within each morsel of food and hopes to shine light on its transformational beauty with the world.
She lives in Los Angeles, where she spends most of her time with her dog – lovingly and aptly named Veggie.
